B&C Showstoppers Productions was formed by lyricist and music creator Johnnie C. Bailey and producer/engineer Pat Carpenter with a clear purpose: take promising songs beyond the demo stage and produce finished recordings with LIVE artists and musicians.
Through Bailey Artist Management (BAM!), Johnnie has developed a growing catalog of original songs using AI-assisted music production as a creative development tool. Those demos allow us to explore melodies, arrangements, instrumentation, vocal approaches, and production ideas before committing a song to the studio.
But for B&C, the demo is only the beginning.
The purpose of B&C Showstoppers Productions is to identify the strongest songs in that catalog and transform them into full-fledged professional recordings at Pat’s Place Studio, featuring LIVE artists, live musicians, professional production, engineering, mixing, and mastering.
AI helps us create the blueprint.
Human performers bring the music to life.
That distinction is at the heart of what B&C does.
We believe a great song becomes something different when a real artist interprets the lyric, a drummer pushes the groove, a guitarist finds the right phrase, a horn player adds an unexpected accent, and a producer shapes those performances into a finished recording.
Those human decisions — the subtle things that happen between the written notes — are what give music personality, emotion, and life.
Our first major example of that process is “I Love The Way You Leave.” The song was initially developed through AI-assisted production, but the generated vocal has already been replaced with a live performance by David Lamarr. Our next objective is to complete the transformation by replacing the remaining generated instrumental elements with live studio musicians.
And we do not intend to stop with one song.
B&C has access to a diverse catalog of original material spanning male and female pop, soul, funk, country, romantic music, and distinctive Carolina shag dance music. As individual projects succeed, our goal is to bring more of those songs into the studio and give them the same opportunity to become fully realized professional recordings with LIVE artists.
B&C also develops, promotes, and represents live entertainment built around original music, featured singers, musicians, and selected performance material.
Our larger objective is to create professional finished recordings and master recordings suitable for presentation to recording artists, publishers, record labels, producers, managers, music supervisors, licensing contacts, venues, and other music-industry professionals.
B&C Showstoppers Productions brings together two sides of the process:
Johnnie C. Bailey — lyrics, song development, creative concepts, catalog development, promotion, artist representation/management.
Pat Carpenter — studio production, engineering, recording, mixing, and the transformation of those concepts into professional finished masters at Pat’s Place Studio.
Together, B&C Showstoppers Productions is built around one simple idea:
Technology can help us imagine the song.
LIVE artists and musicians make it a showstopper.
